Julie has nearly 10 years of experience providing outpatient psychiatric care in a community mental health setting and almost 15 years of combined psychiatric nursing and advanced practice experience caring for patients across the lifespan. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and Psychology in 2010 before completing her Master of Science in Nursing and advanced training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2017.

Julie provides individualized treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, substance use disorders, and other complex psychiatric conditions. Depending on each patient’s needs, her approach may include evidence-based medication management, supportive therapy, patient education, lifestyle modifications, and connections to additional resources.

Julie understands that seeking mental health care can be a difficult step and approaches each patient with warmth, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude. By taking the time to understand each patient’s story, answer questions, and develop a plan aligned with their goals and values, she strives to create a safe and supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered to participate actively in their treatment.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Julie’s work is supporting patients over time and witnessing their personal growth. She values the relationships developed through outpatient care and the opportunity to see how thoughtful, consistent treatment can improve symptoms, relationships, daily functioning, confidence, and overall quality of life. Her treatment philosophy is grounded in the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth, healing, and improved mental wellness.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children. She values family and understands the importance of balancing mental wellness with the demands of everyday life. Her goal is for every patient to feel respected, supported, and hopeful as they work toward lasting wellness.
